When talking about Ladakh, most people skip a paramount part of the age-old “art and craft.” We have artists who have been doing the artworks for many generations, and now it seems to be the last generation doing the artwork. Losing an art means losing a lineage of artists, losing a skill inherited from generation to generation.

We, at Ladakh Local, are trying to gather different stories of artists and their artworks to give them a platform where they can showcase their talent. A talent that is worth recognition, a skill that describes the identity and authenticity of Ladakh. Ladakh Local is for ground-level artisans and their products.
